Public information meeting to be held Sept. 18 for ADOT's upcoming State Route 90 San Pedro River bridge replacement project The Arizona Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration will hold a public meeting in Sierra Vista on Tuesday, Sept. 18, to provide construction information on an upcoming project to replace the State Route 90 bridge over the San Pedro River in Cochise County. The meeting, which will provide details of the 18-month construction schedule, will be held at the Windemere Hotel and Conference Center, 2047 S. State Route 92 in Sierra Vista. The doors open at 6 p.m. and a one-hour presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Maps and displays will be available for viewing and the ADOT team will answer questions and address concerns before and after the presentation. The $7 million project, scheduled to begin Monday, Oct. 1, will replace the existing bridge with a modern structure that features wider travel lanes, emergency shoulders and greater clearance over the river to meet 100-year floodplain requirements. The bridge is located in the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area and provides a connection between the cities of Sierra Vista, Tombstone and Bisbee.
